Bike riding to lose weight

My friend/roommate went biking with her father for various distances almost every day for the past year, and along with eating healthy and right, I believe she said she's dropped about 40 pounds. Their rides started off with short distances, and then eventually they were biking to somewhere that was 15 miles away. It got intense, but she's proud.0

A couple of summers ago I went biking for about 8 miles a day almost every day, and I lost 10-15 lbs in a couple of months....but then again I *think* I ate way too little....*shrug* But it really is a fun and effective exercise, you should see/feel results within weeks if you bike a lot!0
