I Hope I Dance

Hi Everyone,
My name is Allexmarie (Allex for short), I'm 44 and live in Kent, England. I have used diets before, but always fall off the wagon. AT the weekend I went to a wedding, and I had a nice time. I could have had a lovely time though. I felt so very concious of the extra weight that I am carrying that I hardly moved from my chair all day, and sadly, as much as I really wanted to, I didn't get up and dance. Before I wasn't carrying all of this extra weight, I would always be the first up onto the dance floor (well after the Bride and Groom had done their dance etc) and that is where I would have stayed for most of the night. No way would I have been tucked away in the darkest corner of the room I could find!
I can't describe how I felt during the whole day, all I can say is, I never want, to feel that bad about myself again, and that the next time I go to a wedding, or a party (which hopefully I'm not invited to until at least Christmas 2012), I will dance ... dance the night away.
Hopefully, I have found a place online where I can be supportive to others, and they to me.
I wish you all well on your weight loss and weight maintenance journeys, and look forward to meeting and making new friends along my long journey.
Allex

Hey Allex, Dont put yourself in the corner. Actually a fun way to lose weight was to dance. We often worry about how others view us and we shouldnt. If you carry yourself with positivity and confidence others will view you that way. Work on your diet and exercise to be a healthier person, but self confidence is within, has nothing to do with looks. I wish you the best and feel free to add me...
