Easter Fitness Challenge 2/20

Morning everybody!
Now that I've cut back on caffiene, I'm up earlier!
Today is a lighter day. . .
20-30 minutes of commuter walking (depending on how in a hurry I am) with my backpack on.
30 minutes of yoga (although I might pop in a longer tape if I'm feeling perky.)
Sore from my upper body class, especially in my abs. I amazed myself, though . . .I can do three sets of 10 push-ups. REAL pushups! My old karate muscles must have awakened through strength training. I am strong like bull! Although I was a pretty shaky bull by about number 25.
Have a great Wednesday! Spring is coming! (my new mantra)

Wow, real pushups!!!! I can't do them anymore but I should start again... how did you cut back on caffeine? I think I am addicted, I drink way too much of it. :drinker:0

Great Job viviakay! Sounds like you are pushing yourself to new levels! How is everyone else doing? Hopefully just as well. That's our goal here - to get fitter and healthier. Staying stagnant in our workouts will keep us right where we are. I was thinking about this just last night. I occasionally throw something else in besides my bike but really need to up my intensity if I expect to break out of my current plataeu and see some new results. I'm so glad we are all here together to motivate and inspire each other to be better than we even thought we could be. Keep up the GREAT work everyone!
Last night I rode my bike for 36 min at a moderate pace, walked for 30 min, drank my water, and took my vitamins & meds. Now if I could just fit the other piece of the puzzle back together and get my nutrition under control I will be in much better shape.

I didn't post last yesterday. I WO to the new Biggest Loser dvd last night 30 min. That will be my WO for tonight also. It's a great WO. :drinker: :drinker: :drinker:0

Hmmmm. Rough day for me so far :ohwell: I let my dh derail me from exercise this a.m. because he went and laid on the couch and went to sleep and I got mad and let it hinder me instead of just telling him to boot it out or deal. So no exercise for me today - won't have time for the rest of the day. I have determined that I'm going to be more active today at work - yesterday I mostly sat on my butt. I went over my calories yesterday by 117 + 1/2 bowl of kiddos cereal. But was under the day before by 108 + calories burned exercising. So we'll see how it balances out Fri a.m. when I weigh in.

Let's hope every day is a lighter day
- I think I broke my plateau, but it doesn't count since I wasn't supposed to weigh today :blushing: - I was just feeling skinnier and wanted to check.
Yesterday was 30 minutes walking in the park and 55 minutes walking on the treadmill with incline. I was with my mom the last two days and she came down with something (I think it's the flu), so I'm not sure how hard to push myself the next few days. I'm already feeling stuffy, but that means nothing in Central Texas - second highest allergens in the US - all year long!
Still need to make my new calendar. I think I will start it on the 25th, so it will go for a month.0 -
I decided to post AFTER I worked out today instead of before since I usually don't do all I say I'm gonna do. I still have head congestion and a cough so I am not up to par. I haven't felt like to ANYTHING since I got back from vacation and I feel more tired than usual. (My husband says that when I say I am tired it's like pointing out that the sky is blue. :laugh: Isn't he great?)
I did more today than I thought I would and you know what? I hated it! :laugh: I really did not want to do it but I managed to do 75 minutes of Tae bo. I think I did it 3/4 heartedly but I did it and I feel better now. I've got to get back into the swing of things again.
I HAD to work out today so I can afford to have the Braum's Oreo mix that I usually get on Wednesday nights. LOL It's about 350-400 calories I think.0 -
2 hours of cleaning grout off the new tiles in my daughters house. I finally found something that doesn't hurt my back to do. No twisting involved and I can do it as slow as I want.:laugh: :laugh: And I can do it left handed to boot. The only thing is my knees get sore. It's not cardio but it is not sitting on my butt all day either. Unfortunately I don't know how to put it in as exercise. So I don't know how to count it.0

Viviakay, if I said I could do ten "real" push-ups, I would be full of the aforementioned bull :laugh:
So I'm a little sore in some new places after my lifting yesterday. But I was able to do almost the same weights I was lifting in college, so my home program must be working. 60 min on gazelle plus some other tid bits of resistance on my step.
I have to get fitted for a bridesmaid dress tomorrow, so that will be a reality check. My goal is 6 or 8... will it happen?0 -
Got my core fitness dvd done with my new weights boy is it challenging now the 5kg weights are fine for most of the exercises but 2 I really have to focus. Not sure if I tried to hard it feels like I have hurt my abdo muscles had to take some pain relief coz the pain was quite in intense in the afternoon feels a bit better now but still a bit achy.
Went for a walk and a run (the dog legged it) for 1 hr in the morning.
Had to go for a walk to the shops in the affy my son went to a friends house and I had already counted the 1/2 hr walk in the afternoon as exercise and worked out my cals accordingly.
