NSV - birthday dessert!

This past weekend was my birthday, and a friend of mine made an incredibly delicious dessert for me. I know that this wouldn't necessarily be a NSV for everyone, but I feel very happy with the way I handled it. I had a BIG PIECE on my birthday, and I didn't agonize over the decision or feel guilty at all. I just enjoyed every bite. Then I saved a tiny piece for myself for the next day, and made sure to send all the rest home with friends.

I'm not racing to lose the weight (though I do get impatient, of course). I really do want to continue to look at this as a healthy lifestyle as opposed to a diet. I thought I'd share my small NSV because I love reading everyone else's!

Don't get it wrong. This small NSV's are the ones that keep you on track. The fact that you had a bid bite of the dessert without feeling guilty shows that you are commited and that you have everything under control.
It is also right not to rush your weight loss. It's better that way because it will be easier to maitain with time.
Congratulations, I hope you had a terrific birthday...
