Breakfast was named so because it breaks the fasting period of sleep! so your "lunch " is really your breakfast that day. I have heard people say, I had breakfast for dinner! What they really mean is I ate breakfast foods for dinner. You have had lunch foods for breakfast.

Don't skip the necessary calories for the day because you slept in. This will put you into starvation mode!

yes, or the rapid weight loss you are having, will halt your metabolism will go into starvation mode and you will gain weight, not lose it! I don't think one day will do it, but doing it all the time or too frequently will cause your body to store what you eat, rather than burn it! so get your exercise, eat your allotted calories and turn up the burners! and drink your water!!!

I agree with czewwhat. I work with two dieticians and they both say that breakfast is really good for you and it gets your metabolism going in the morning which we all need. But if you are on a different time schedule like you work nights or mids then of course it would be on that time schedule. And if you do it once or twice it will not hurt you, its for those that do that everyday that it hurts, because then they are more hungry and sleepy throughout the day so the food choices some people make aren't the best.

Just think of your metabolism as a fire place. the effort it take to keep a fire going is your calories burned=weight loss. If you don't put in enough wood the fire goes out! and you are left with a smoldering pile of un-burned kindling(fat) so using this metaphor, chop the right amount of wood, stoke the fire (exercise) keep your fire(metabolism) burning and watch the fat just melt away and go up in the smoke! Even if you sleep in your body still needs the exercise and calories to burn to keep your fire going!
