First day...not as good as I should have been!

So today was my first day of a biggest loser challenge with some friends. Didn't do as great as I'd hoped...any suggestions for bolstering my motivation? Having a hard time picking foods that are healthy and taste good. Anyone have good recipes?

    Don't be too hard on yourself - if you have logged everything you ate today and spotted some areas that you could do better- then that's a great start.

    Make sure you have realistic goals - people on TV might lose 8 pounds in a week, but that doesn't usually happen in the real world - and if it does, it's not likely to be either healthy or sustainable. It's really hard to stay motivated if you are starving and cranky - which is what happens to me if I don't eat enough!

    Eat a bit less, move a bit more - sounds boring but it really does work!
