It's driving me MAD

I clearly have a sign on my forehead that says, "Please disapprove of my method of weight loss and while you're at, I'd love to hear all about how yours is far FAR superior."

Why can't people just say, "good job"? Instead, I'm forced to hold my tongue while subjected to a treatise on how drinking 8 glasses of water WASHES fat away. Unfortunately, I fear I am going to soon lose control of my inner smart *kitten* one of these days and ask them if going through a car wash also cleans out their car's gas tank.

I just ignore the advice if I don't agree. Most people mean well. If they're too pushy, remove them from your MFP page. (If it's MFP friends you mean--face to face friends are tougher to handle, I know)

To be honest, I'm not into guzzling tons of water. I get about 8 or so glasses (including iced tea), which seems right for me. I love the "washes fat away" thing, though. If water really did that, I'd probably drink a LOT more. :drinker:

I get that a lot, and honestly it's usually from folks who haven't lost as much as me or folks who haven't lost anything at all. ;) I just smile and nod. Obviously what I am doing IS working. I assume they are just trying to justify their bad behavior.
