I know this may sound like a stupid question, but I'm just curious. What's the difference between cabbage and lettuce?

  • For me Cabbage is heartier. It's thicker, has an entirely different (almost a little spicy) flavor and lots of crunch. Lettuce is bland -- almost watery for iceberg but Romaine has a very GREEN taste -- if that makes any sense.

I googled for you and found this article: http://www.livestrong.com/article/524206-the-nutrition-in-cabbage-vs-lettuce/

    Hope it helps!

Texture...and it comes in purple. Purple has more nutrition like any other colorful veggie/fruit.

They taste different and cabbage is more versatile, you can cook a lot more things with cabbage than with lettuce.
