I have a little cheapy one from Walmart that's OK. It's not digital. It's plastic with a white bowl. I'd like to get a digital one and I'm reading some on here got one from bed bath and beyond. I have a ton of 20% coupons (which they never expire regardless of expiration date on them) so I'm going to go there and see what they have.

I like my Weight Watcher scale.. Had it for over 4 years- been pretty happy with it. I think I got it at Target- not real pricey, too!

I have a dumb question. For the scales that don't come with a bowl, do you put the food directly on the scale then just wash that tray part of it? Or do you put a bowl/plate/cup on the scale, zero it out then weigh the food?

I just got a "Biggest Loser" digital scale (not because of the show, but because it was the least expensive) at Bed Bath & Beyond for $19.99. It has a glass plate on the top of it, and can tare (zero it out) it with the push of a button. It has an automatic shutoff feature so it doesn't kill the battery (which it does come with).

I had one that was not digital, and yes...I'd put the bowl/plate on there, zero it out, then weigh it. The plastic bowl it came with only lasted about 2 months. I'd strongly recommend getting a digital scale. I paid $12 for the non-digital, and $20 for the digital. Hands down, digital is better. Plus you can clearly weigh by ozs or grams, and it's easy to "build" your plate by zeroing it out after each item is added. i do that when I build a salad. I put the bowl on there, zero it out, add lettuce, zero it, tomatoes, zero it, etc. It's so much easier than weighing and adding each item separately.

I'm now leaning towards the biggest loser scale for $19.99 from BB&B. With the coupon it should come out to $15.89 including tax.

Threaten everyone not to touch your baterries or they'll have to suffer the consequences!
