I have been doing a cardio boxing class 3 days a week for over a month now and havn't lost a pound! I'm 38 years old and have never exercised before so I guess I expected the weight to just melt off. That's not happening?I eat pretty healthy, how long before I see results?

If you want advice, you need to open your diary so people can see what you are eating and how many calories you are burning.0

I think I opened my diary please don't judge me from this weekend it was my husbands 40th b-day and we celebrated for 3 days!0

Honestly it sounds like you are a fit person therefore you are putting on muscle when you are exercising instead of just burning the fat. That is what it sounds like but I could be wrong. are you eating your exercise calories because I would eat a 1/3 or 1/2 of what you are burning0

So should I never eat all of my exercise calories if I need to lose weight?0

I took a look at your diary, and you seem to make pretty good choices. You could use a little more fresh fruits and veg, but couldn't we all?
What is your current weight? What is your goal weight? You are only 17lbs to your goal......it does get harder to lose the closer you get.
As far as exercise calories go, you should eat back some, but probably not all. Do you use a heart rate monitor to calculate your burns? MFP and other online calculators can estimate on the high side, so you might be eating too many calories if you are eating them all back.
I don't think you are putting on serious muscle. You are doing a cardio heavy class and you are new to exercise. But, are you taking measurements? Have you lost inches or gone down a pants size?0 -
I weigh about 151 on a good day? need to lose at least 20lbs 30 would be nice ,im only 5'3? i do feel like my body is a little tighter in places but my clothes don't fit much different? I don't use a heart rate moniter.0

Have you calculated your TDEE and BMR? I would encourage you to do that to help figure out how much you should be eating.
Ideally, you should eat at about a 15-20% deficit from your TDEE (which will vary from day to day depending on your activity level).
And, once again, since you are closer to your goal weight it will take you longer to lose the last 17lbs than for someone who has more to lose. Focus on your measurements and shaping your body rather than a number on the scale.0 -
thanks for all the help0
