To those that are from Houston and love to cycle...where are some good places for long rides?

On the NW side you can ride out of Zube Park or Hockley Community Center for any number of distances.
I generally ride out of Hockley and take Old Washington straight out until it hits 359 and hang a left. You can go on forever, or to Katy, and there is a great shoulder there. If you ride out of Zube the Northwest Cycling Club has some routes on their page.

I bike at home in Little Rock but I am currently in Houston on vacation. This thread is making me miss my bike Bertha La Bloux! Having a blast here but can't wait to get back home to my girl and take her out on a ride. :-)0
