Should I eat or keep my mouth Shut?!

This may be considered a rant...I am not quite sure...but here goes. The past couple of nights I have not eaten dinner. I have not felt hungry after working out so I have been just drinking water and going to sleep. Today I am down another pound...which I haven't logged. Today, my hunger seems to be back. I know that skipping meals is supposed to be bad but I really liked seeing the scale go down after skipping dinner for the past couple nights. However, today I almost feel like going on a binge. I am comtemplating it as I type this, but will probably just drink water instead. In the past I have found that skipping meals is actually effective for loss when I am not hungry, but of course you start eating again and it has the potential to come back. I don't want to regain what I lost the past couple days...so the question is to eat or not to eat?

Anyone else dealt with this before?

I have heard it's ok to skip meals too. However I have never done it. I say eat.
  • Eat, but try to keep it sensible. Figure out what you want and then put your foot down and say "no more" once you have had your fill. Also, look at your week as a whole and realize if you do go over today, the calories you "saved" by not eating the last few days with save you.

Any chance you can eat before working out to avoid the problem in the future? Maybe a protein shake after to help heal your muscles and get some calories in?

I usually don't eat before working out. Maybe it is something I should give a try. A little snack before I jump on the elliptical.

If you're not hungry, don't stuff food in your mouth, that's how we got here int he first place (at least I did).

If you find yourself going on a binge the next day as a regular occurence, eat something high in protein and fiber in the morning to satisfy yourself...

You were not hungry the past couple days after your workout, so you didn't eat. You listened to your body.

Today you are hungry again, so you should eat. Listen to your body now too.
