After doing quite a bit of research on Pilates, I still don't have a definite answer if Pilates is effective for weight loss.
I've had some people tell me they've done Pilates everyday for 45 days and lost 15 pounds. I've had others tell me that no matter how long they do Pilates they do not lose weight, only a few inches in the waist area but the scale does not change.

I am not looking to loose an excessive amount of weight, just 15-20 pounds will make me more than happy!

I bought 3 Pilates DVD's. One for beginner, intermediate, and advanced. I am not new to Pilates, just haven't done it in about 3 months. I plan to do one of the three DVD's everyday.
Seeing how everyone has different advice on how to effectively lose weight, Do you think this could work as a good weight loss technique?

Someone also told me that doing Pilates everyday without doing 2-3 days of Cardio, will get me nowhere.

I want to hear some real-life success stories. Did Pilates help you achieve your goal weight?

I am aware that Pilates helps with your Core, I've seen with my own eyes the miracle it can do to your abs. My problem is, I dont want hard ab's under my flab. I don't even care for ab's at all really, I just want a flat tummy. And my lower tummy is the part holding a majority of my weight.
