I have been trying to get healthy lately and set a weight loss deadline as a trip we are going to take in September- Lately though I have been lacking in the motivation department. I have just not been interested in working out. I have been trying to find alternatives, cleaning my house, mowing the lawn, playing with the kids at the park etc. I want to do Jillian Michaels 30 day shred, I have done it in the past...even a few weeks ago, I just cant get myself to do it now. I get ready to exercise, put on the clothes and and move the furniture in the living room, then just sit on the couch and talk myself out of it... which is ridiculous seeing as its only a 20 minute workout.
I was discouraged for a while as the weightloss hasnt been going the way i had hoped. I am losing inches though, and I find that to be better... I want to keep on with a healthy path, I just need something to motivate me- anyone have any tips for how to stop being so darn lazy?- I know i just need to get up and get over it and once i start working out again i will feel great, I just still cant seem to give myself that kick in the butt!

You can do it!!!! Get the kids to exercise with you. I know there's usually not a lot of extra living room space, but who cares if you really do all the steps anyway. The kids will keep you motivated as you won't want to give up before they do!
Finding something you like to do in exercise is probably the key also. Maybe Jillian Michaels isn't for you.
Also, I think it's wonderful you're trying to lose only 20 lbs. You didn't let yourself get to 50 or more pounds to lose. Then the journey can seem so long. (Like I did  ) You have the great summer weather and two full months. I know you can do it.
Friend me if you'd like - my name is laurie.0 -
It all boils down to you having to want this for yourself. stop thinking of all negative and blah thoughts. just tell yourself you can and will do this to become a more healthy person which in turn gives you the resulting body you want. And on those days you don't feel energized think of how good you felt after each workout. And know your on your way to a healthier life.... like they always say you got to move it to lose it, so get moving girl and enjoy the ride....you can do it!0

Maybe all i need to do was write this post- 20 minutes after posting it i got off my lazy butt and worked out. Pushups, situps, squats, lunges, cardio etc. I feel sore today but great and glad i did it- Hope to do some yoga and streching today, then workout again.
Thanks for the encouragement- I definatly do want to do this for me and I am motivated to get back into shape!!- Just gotta push out those negative lazy thoughts like mentioned THANKS AGAIN!0
