Just want to be healthy and pain free

I just joined here. but I have been doing a workout from Prevention magazine for 5 weeks now. The workout is for core strength and is working great with strength and cardio. I have lost a total of 5 inches off my stomach and 4 inches off my hips. I started this because I have back problems and want to strength it so it doesn't hurt all the time and have read many stories about exercise helping to become pain free. Now that I have the exercise routine down I am going to work on the eating part and start losing weight not just maintaining it. I am almost 50 and want to live to 100 so have to be healthy and active to do that.
