Calorie Burn???

I am new and blonde... so bear with me :P
I just purchased, and used, the HRM Polar RS300x.
It showed that my training (11.1 mile bike ride and hour weight training) I burned about 138 additional calories than MFP calculated... so, I added an "exercise" to balance the difference making MFP equal my Polar HRM.
Should I be doing this??? or am a potentially adding more exercise calories errrrr deducting more calories daily for calculating my daily net???
I hope this makes sense...
Thanks for the help!

You can change the amount of calories, you don't have to add an additional exercise. For example, I burn 300 calories on the elliptical in 30 mins, but MFP estimates 318. So I just erase 318 and type 300.0
