Lost motivation.... Lost energy... Feel like a wuss

Ok, so I hurt my foot. maybe 2.5 weeks ago. For the first week I could hardly walk, so too much exercise was out of the question. Then a steel pole fell on that same foot, so I was out for another week.... It's been a few days now that I can walk normal. I've started back with walking at work, and re-started C25K. I do a few exercises on my pullup bar, and I feel OK.
But when I tried my stationary bike, after 10 minutes I was winded. I used to go 30-40 no problem. I know this colorado heat wave may have something to do with it, but I am just so drained. I have all the motivation in the world when I start, but I just have no endurance.

Endurance comes and goes with activity level. Don't give up, just keep pedaling. You'll get it back0

I suffered an injury too ( meniscus tear) and am hobbling around with a brace. Just keep at it one day at a time and you will be back to top form in no time.0

Just push yourself to get it done! I know it is hard, but you won't get anywhere by quitting!
If it makes you feel better, I was hit by a van on my bike a week and a half ago...no serious injury, but it screwed up my knee really bad. The first few workouts were difficult, but I am slowly getting back to where I was. There really are no excuses!0 -
I'm biomechanically challenged - no, seriously, I go through injuries all the time and never give in...never, never, never. But sometimes "never" means that I pitch my getting back into it 'goal' WAY below what I know I can do - but then when I'm done it's like "oh come ON, that was too easy!" then sometimes I'll do a bit more. I turn the aggravation and low motivation and general wussiness around on itself, eventually starting to push myself again before I know it because I can't stand how low I'm setting the bar.
Who me? Self competitive? :noway:
Don't know if this'll help...probably sounds a little nuts...but works for me when I'm really struggling/feeling low/like a wuss.
Hang in there - it will get better.0 -
Just try to remember that tomorrow is a new day! You are NOT a wuss for having an injury, it happens to a lot of people and it's completely normal to get set back! If I don't work out three or more days it's always so much harder for me to complete the same programs, and I didn't have any excuses for being set back except just being plain lazy I would maybe just try to push myself a little longer each day (maybe 5 minutes or so), and before you know it you'll be right back where you were before Good luck, and happy healing!!!0

You can do it! Don't give up. Just get on that thing and ride! If you get only to ten minutes before getting winded, then that's all you get. Until tomorrow, and the next day, and the next....right! Sometimes those breaks destroy all that hard work we put into it. But Sh1t happens. So keep on moving and don't give up!0

Stick with it. You will build your endurance back up again. It won't take as long as think. Give it a few days or a week and you'll be right back where you were before your injury. Don't give up. You've done so well. Keep going Tony!0

Don't give up, the injury is only temporary.0
