Do you ever feel like people try to undermine your goals?

Example - five years ago, the first time I attempted to lose weight, my stepmom would intentionally throw out packages before I got a chance to look at nutrition labels because she said I didn't need to look ... but she would look at them herself first and was constantly on a diet.

Right now I'm losing weight again but I also switched to a vegan diet in January (for ethical reasons). My mom knows this and she bought non vegan veggie burgers for dinner tonight. Or she'll pick a vegetarian recipe for dinner that has eggs in it. She KNOWS I'm vegan because she's made 100% vegan meals in the past and has even seemed supportive of me at times... I dunno I just don't get it.

I guess I'm talking about actions more than words. It comes across like a weird form of jealousy.

Her behavior is just wrong! It's disrespectful and outright mean.

I have had people who have undermined my goals but nothing intentional. Usually it's someone who lacks nutritional knowledge themselves and think something's healthy and so won't make me gain weight, or are worried that I'm trying too hard and don't want me to 'be hungry' or hurt myself because they think I exercise too hard (neither of those are close to being accurate descriptions of my eating or exercise habits lol).

I'd say you need to seriously set some boundaries with you stepmom. I don't know how old you are, but her behavior is so hideous I'd might have to outright tell her what she's doing is unacceptable.
