Exercise Classes?

I work out daily at home. I either do a exercise video, use my stationary bike or go walking. I am thinking of taking some type of exercise class once/twice a week just to do something different. I am thinking of kickboxing or pilates. Any other suggestions that would help with weight loss and toning?

Thanks!

  • I've really enjoyed a variety of Les Mills classes; I suggest you see if any local gyms offer them. Also Zumba and yoga are great workouts.

I enjoy spin and Zumba is pretty fun, but personally have found that the level of workout I get out of zumba very much depends on the instructor, but I'm sure that argument can be said about a lot of group exercise classes. I hear bodypump is good but have yet to try it, all I know about it is that they use a lot of weights and do strength training exercises. I plan on trying it out after I complete 30 day shred.

My gym offers a ton of classes, most at no charge and some for a nominal fee(considered small group traininer).

I really enjoy LesMills BodyAttack and in that hour class, typically burn 500 calories.

But the class I'm addicted to is TRX and credit all the toning in my triceps, quads and forearms to the exercises done with those straps. It dosnt hurt that I have so much fun in that class either!
