Your thoughts on my food diary??

Haven't gotten to go grocery shopping yet, so I'm making due with what we have in the house :)
I'd just like for you to take a look and feel free to give me any suggestions or comments.

I notice the last 2 days you ate under 1200 calories. You definately need to eat more.

I'm going to say you're not eating enough.

I eat every 2-3 hours :/ I guess it's because I'm eating foods that are quite low in calories. I feel like all I've done today is eat!

Thats nowhere near enough food though. Just because its low cal doesnt mean its healthy. And you need way more protein.

I'm not eating extremely low cal on purpose. I'm just trying to make sure I get my calories from healthy food, like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean meat. Not junk.

Thats good. If your having trouble meeting your cals try eating more calorie dense healthier foods-nuts, all natural peanut butter, beans, quinoa, eggs :-) Goodluck

I love nuts! But the sodium and fat from the 2 handfuls I've had today pushed me over :(

They sell unsalted almonds and peanuts at Walmart. And they're fairly cheap :-) I actually get a lot of stuff there plain oatmeal, dry beans, plain pop corn kernals (I pop them in a paper lunch bag to avoid all the nasty oil/butter)

Done great with your veggies :) one day with a low calorie intake won't have a negative effect on you. As long as when your working out you make sure to fuel your body appropriately. You'll do great, I'm sure you already know but gotta say it anyways!!

Good luck with your healthy lifestyle :)

I disagree with everyone that says eat more. Your eating was fine. Your foods need to have less sodium in it.

The nuts and bread seem to be what's getting me w/ sodium. I'm eating lightly salted nuts, maybe I should switch to unsalted. & find some bread with lower sodium.

I forgot to put that those peanuts were lightly salted in my food diary. I changed it, so now instead of being 300 over my sodium intake I'm only 38.
Lol...might not wanna forget that from now on!

One more vote for "Eat More." I know sometimes it's hard to figure out what to eat with a limited selection, and I've seen times when this will lead to me eating nothing, rather than something I feel isn't worth the calories. Hopefully this will get better after you go to the market and have a bigger variety of health conscious choices available to you.
