I'm having a hard time

I've been on my diet for a little over two months now, and watching my fiance and everyone else who lives with me chow down on the foods I can't have anymore is really discouraging me. I'm not angry with them because none of them really need to be on a diet like I do, but it's still really hard watching them eat Sloppy Joes, Hamburgers, Spaghetti, Nachos, etc. while I'm stuck eating Lean Pockets, Progresso Soup, Whole Grain Waffles, etc. I think I'm losing my will power. I've probably lost a good 20lbs by now, but I'm becoming depressed. If I become depressed, I may stop my dieting and I don't want to do that, not when I've made so much progress. Am I being overly dramatic?

I wonder if you could try making healthy versions of those foods you love, and you and your whole family could enjoy them together? There are a lot of good websites and cook books out there with recipes for healthy versions of stuff. I had the same problems at my house, sometimes I still do, but I talked with my mom and she started buying healthier foods and more organic/all natural stuff. Good luck!0

It's good to be aware of possible triggers. But don't talk yourself into failing.
Are you eating enough to feel satisfied? Are you looking at this as a quick fix or a way to figure out a healthier lifestyle?
Find foods you can enjoy. Try to share meals you can both/all enjoy. Do you need to eat all your meals together? If your fiancé and others you live with are going out to someplace or making a meal that you don't want to fit into your day, can you skip it and eat at a different time? If it bothers you to watch them eat those things, the simple answer is... don't watch. I know that's overly simplistic and won't always work, but consider some options. Can you eat a small portion of what they're eating when you really like it, and prepare a salad or side vegetable that every one can eat and be healthier? They may take a small amount of the vegetable and a hugh sloppy joe, while you eat an open faced sloppy joe with a big portion of vegetables. Or they may surprise you... make good, healthy food, and maybe you can help the people you care about be healthier too.0
