Modifying MFP??

I changed my calorie count to reflect 1650 total which is my TDEE - 20% so that I can lose weight. I am also not logging my exercise and calories burned from exercise because my TDEE already takes that into consideration.
I am 5'4", weigh 165 and want to lose 35 pounds.
Am I doing it correctly and if not what changes should I make? Thank you very much for any help!!

That sounds about right, from what I've read people say, but I'm no expert! I'd find the Eat More Weigh Less group and ask them the question; I think something like that is the way they work?0
