Weekend Antics Put an End to MFP goodness!

Hey all;
So I was doing really well with MFP and have lost way more than I expected in 6 weeks. It doesn't even feel like a challenge because right now I'm working more to just eat less (though eventually I want to eat less and more healthy--baby steps!)
My issue is I live overseas and will be leaving this international lifestyle soon for the US of A. On weekends my friends and I always explore Korea and go to remote town or fly to an island or anything to just feel like we've taken the most of our opportunity to live overseas. That's important to me.
The issue is weekends are so difficult. I don't always know where I'm going to packing a lunch is difficult and often means I carry it up a mountain or something (hiking here and walking trails are great and lined with restaurants). I also have a hard time tracking because I'm with my friends and don't want to be rude and pull out my phone in the midst of conversations.
What are some suggestions to still embrace this lifestyle and have great conversations with my friends (that's the best thing about Korea--relationships) but still stay within calories.
I have no idea what I ate this weekend thanks to a homemade meal and a remote beach trip! That stresses me out!
Thanks in advance for all advice!
