I have been working out with my trainer for 6 weeks and seeing real improvement. However struggling with my diet I have promised my trainer to give his plan 4 weeks to see what happens.

He wants me to eat a low carb evening me, I need help!!

I am not a huge meat fan and on a budget does anyone have any ideas (I'm in the uk)

Eggs are always a great low-carb standby - cheese or ham omelette, eggs florentine, bacon and eggs etc.

Tinned fish is pretty cheap - sardines, mackerel, tuna. Add to a bowl of salad leaves, tomatoes, cucumber etc

A burger served or a grilled portabello mushroom instead of bun.

lots of salads or stir fried veggies
cheeseburgers (no bread, with mayo instead of ketchup) even served on a lettuce salad is excellent
    eggs and bacon or sausage
    steak! chicken! seafood!

once you get over carb flu, you should feel amazing. lots of energy, and a reduction in appetite.

Lots of ideas on Atkins websites. One big hit is mashed cauliflower instead of potato. And bags of frozen cauliflower aren't too expensive.
  • i do a lot of low carbing -

    scrambled eggs with bacon
    egg mayo with smoked salmon
    salad w tuna/chicken/any protein
    sausages w gravy and veg
grilled/fried chicken breast w roast veg + sweet potato
    cauliflower cheese
    nutroast w gravy & veg
    omlettes w ham & mushroom

loads of things! and a bit of fro yo for dessert :)
