Vitamins.. what are your favoite supplements?

Just wondering if my little multivitamin is enough as my husband has commented on me looking pale. I did cut out red meat and have been eating more fruits and veggies then I ever have (in my life) and my water is always at least 8 cups a day. My energy level has been fine.

    Red meat isn't bad.

As for supplements, the only things the average person really -needs- to supplement is:

    Multi
    Fish Oil
    Vitamin D

Supplementing magnesium isn't bad either, if you never eat almonds or something.

Iron comes to mind if you used to eat a lot of red meat and now don't. Try vegetarian sources of iron like dark leafy greens, beans and legumes.

That said, there could be many reasons for "looking pale" and it's quite unlikely cutting out red meat is the cause!

  • If you are pale you should have your blood checked out.If you are not eating red meat then take in B12 that is important.
I have been battling low B12 problem for some while and I have been adviced to eat more red meat on top of the injections I have to have on regular basis. I finally became stable then the found out I lack D vitamin.
Lack of those two vitamines can cause you to become pale and feel sea sick or like you feel like you are going to faint.
    Have your blood checked out.

I take a women's multi vitamin and CoQ Enzyme 10 for energy. I have used chromium picolinate in the past for appetitie control.
