Stock up on cheap protein!

I know alot of people struggle with grocery costs, especially protein. Just wanted to point out that this weekend is a great time to stock up on lots of protein. With the holiday, all the grocery stores are running huge sales. I haven't bought meat since the memorial day sales so I'll stock up again until labor day :-)

    It is funny that you mention this, because I was looking at an ad last night. My thoughts were that they jacked up the prices knowing that people would be buying these meats for the July 4th holiday. For instance, a Boston Butt a few weeks ago was $1.39# and this week it is $1.69#. Not too long ago, I would only pay .99 # for a Boston Butt.

    Ground Beef was $2.39# last week, and this week it is $2.69#

    I know it all depends on what area of the country you live in, but these two items went up in price just before the holiday. Sort of like gas goes up before Memorial Day week-end.
