Plateaus: You stink!

Hello! Do you have suggestions for getting over weight loss plateaus? I have lost 39 pounds since March 5, and I have been stuck here for the past 2.5 weeks. I am staying within my calorie goals (most days I am under), and I walk 2.5-3 miles 4 times a week. Would love to hear from you! Thanks!

check out the group-eat more weigh less. you probably have to increase your calories to accomodate for the calories you are burning. sounds crazy but it does work

    good luck

try increasing your calorie intake a little.. maybe 100-200 cals. always keep your body guessing :) Increase water intake too can help . Good luck!

I have found the best way to break a plateau is to change up your workouts & record your calories religously. I realized I was eating way too many calories I lowered it & the pounds fell off. On the other hand, I'm not sure how much you're eating/exercising or weigh but you might not be eating enough. Just some suggestions. either way keep up the good work:)

I've been proactively thinking about how to overcome plateaus. I havent reached one yet but I just dropped a nice chunk of weight and I can feel the weght loss tapering off...

I'm waiting for a plateau before starting the 30 day shred, and I may try a weekend juice diet if I plateau a second time.

I'm in the same boat I'm 1700 cals a day and burn just under 600 with excercise every other day , on the days I exercise I eat maybe half of my exercise cals back. I only want to lose about half a stone and ive been stuck at same weight for 2 months!

I'm going to try mixing the exercise up a bit as I am only running at the moment, will let you know if I see any results :)

No argument here - I've been stuck at 40lbs for around 3 months at this point, and not a thing I have done seems to break it. No useful suggestions to offer, really, just fellow-feeling.
