I want to lose weight first THEN tone...

I really want to lose about 10lbs and then focus on my toning so Im confused at what I should be doing.....should I mostly do cardio before strength training or a mix of both?? I just wanna have an idea of what is best to do for these goals I want to reach! :wink:

    The best overall option is a combination of cardio and strength.

    Cardio burns lots of calories (and is good for your heart) but strength will help you preserve your lean muscle mass (typically when eating at a caloric deficit people lose both fat and lean body mass)

    I've been told that if you do your strength training before your cardio, you burn a higher percentage of fat to lean. I wish I could source that for you, but I don't remember where I learned it!
