Simple Smoothie Recipe

I bought fresh blueberries and strawberries this morning and I would love to make a smoothie, but I don't want to make a real fattening one, I want to make a simple healthy one. Does anyone have any recipes they care to share?

I drink a smoothie almost daily. Anything you enjoy can be made into a smoothie. My lunch was 2 cups of lettuce, fresh herbs, a clove of garlic, 1/2 a cucumber, 1/2 of a yellow zucchini, 1/2 cup of fresh cut up bell pepper, 1/4 of a medium red onion, 1/2 cup of mushrooms and the leftover salad fixings (cauliflower, cherry toms, brock) that I had in my fridge. I put 2 cups of water in the bottom of my Vita Mix blender along with a shake or two of Mrs. Dash veggie seasonings. Whirl until smooth. Drink. It is very good, fills me up, and is low in calories.

For the strawberries and the blueberries, you can add some apple juice (1/2 cup) with about 1 cup of strawberries and 1 cup of blue berries. It will be thick, but oh so heavenly and very low in calories. If too thick, add 1 cup of water. The apple juice will make the berries taste sweet....great breakfast drink.

blend them with frozen fat free yogurt. (90 cals)

    or

with Almond Breeze 40 cal "milk" or the vanilla flavored one 60 cals per cup.

or combo of both yogurt AND Almond Breeze.

I have made many varieties of this using the chocolate Almond breeze and sugar free syrups. and variety of flavors of the yogurt. All good and frosty and low cal.

Mmmm. I'm literally sitting here eating a smoothie.

I take half a cup of frozen fruit (could use fresh and could always add more)
A scoop of vanilla bean protein powder
    A couple ice cubes
    A cup of almond milk

Then just mix it up. And yummmm. You could always trade the almond milk for regular and leave out the protein powder. Or I'll make the same recipe, but instead of the berries I add in cold chai tea. Its like a chai latte but not horrible for you. :)

But berries, low fat yogurt (any flavour), and a banana always makes a really simple and delicious smoothie too

And what about using Greek yogurt instead of ice cream?
