Don't worry, be happy..

I never really saw myself as someone that would blog in any way, shape or form... but I just wanted to share my experiences so far!
I am roughly 17 days into my journey on MFP and have discovered things I really never expected to: In such a short space of time, I have dropped 10lbs (although I am not so unrealistic to expect such results to continue into the long term), cut my portion sizes by roughly half, dropped a dress size and started running!
After just a week on my new life plan, I began the C25K running plan; I'd always liked the idea of running but just never thought I'd be able to do it, especially before losing most of my weight. I couldn't believe this was something I could do, let alone enjoy!
I called the post, don't worry, be happy, because what I am doing is making me very happy and giving me no cause for worry at all...it's all good!!! Last night I had a real craving for something sweet and really didn't know if it was something I should do. I told myself that I was allowed a treat, that I wasn't going back to my old ways of eating, it was a bag of toffees, not the end of the world and they tasted divine. To make me feel better, when I stood on the scales this morning, I had actually dropped a pound after staying the same for a few days. Maybe I need more toffees in my diet?? hehe
I suppose the message I want to pass on is that as long as you are eating less and moving more than you were before, then you can only expect to go in the right direction! Science is great and we are all individuals, but I listen to my body and respect it and look after it so much more than I have done before and in turn it makes me very happy.
I couldn't have done it so easily without the amazing support, encouragement and motivation of my MFP friends - you are all wonderful, new, old and ones I yet to meet :-)
Keep doing what you're doing... you're fabulous inside and out! x x x

Congrats Anna, the ladybird will be at the end of the tape before you know it
Personally I've found that I have less success if I don't allow myself the occasional treat and like you i found that having the odd little something doesn't make a difference if you're generally heading in the right direction.
Keep up the good work with jogging, don't be discouraged by week 5 when you get there, it's not so bad

So proud of you Anna - an amazing achievement. And a really big thank you for being such a big support on MFP. It's not been long, but your words have really helped me with C25K. Can't wait to follow your progress in the coming weeks and months0

You inspire me daily! I totally agree that we should allow for a treat now and then. Be cautious, not fanatical. IMHO ;-)0
