Two piece bathing suit?

What size were you when you ventured out in a two piece, not a straight bikini really, but as as little as boy shorts and a sports bra type top for the beach. I'm contemplating it for when I reach my goal of 150, which seemed so unattainable before. I'm now 166, and seeing that I'm going to make it! As my reward, I wanna go to the beach, and treat myself to a new bathing suit. Just not sure what I should get.

I think at 150, with some toning, I'll be rid of any muffin or back rolls...
I may stick to my one piece 50's style FULL coverage suit regardless LOL! :)

The thing I'm most self conscious about is my stretch marks. They're light, but still visible.

Just bought my first two-piece in something over 20 years for a yoga & dance retreat in Mexico. No one fainted, pointed, or cowered in horror, quite possibly because they were busy gawking at the gorgeous bikinied bodies all around me.

I wore one when I was 150. I felt good because i had lost weight. I was 163. I think the type you are looking for is perfect! Get out there and get some sun! Nothing like a sexy tan to accompany that weightloss! Congrats on your success by the way!
  • Only felt uncomfortable to wear one last year =/ but i'm buying myself a vintage bikini for my florida holiday in August, so when i plan to have reached 140-135lbs I'm currently 148 =)

I do now, and I'm a size 12. And I weigh more than most (if not all) of the people who've posted. I think it's hard to tell what size/weight is a good one, because height makes such a difference :)

I've just got back from my first swimming session in over 10 years after buying my first swimming costume for over 15 years. I'm 183lbs and tbh don't really care what people think of me and what I look like in it.
Its a halter neck 50's style tank top with boy shorts bottoms. I bought it in a size 16 which is my size so no muffin tops or rolls in sight.
I just wish I'd done it when I was 200lbs.
