I think I've read somewhere (maybe 'googled' weight gain and TOM) that your body raises your BMR during TOM to help with the extra food we're shoveling in.

I'll be 50 on my next birthday and you'd think I'd be over this crap by now... but no. I have given up white flour and potatoes but it never fails - before my TOM I get nearly CRAZY craving carbs, specifically white flour stuff and potato chips. I hate it.

I try to eat fruit, etc, but I admit that I usually cave in and go and get a bag of chips or something. If you can get one of those half size bags it's better - because I don't know about you, but if I have big bag I would eat it all. The cravings are so strong, and I am literally much more hungry. Blah.

I just try to acknowledge what it is: TOM. Sometimes that helps, sometimes not.

I'd believe it because I can eat a significant amount of chocolate with no remorse nor weight gain.

you girls are cracking me up and I feel much better! :)
  • The worst part is that during TOM, I have no desire to excercise!!!
  • well luckily for us all the body can handle extra calories during our TOM. The body requires it for the process. Don't go over board either...

I just ate an Almond Joy because I'm in this boat currently.

It tasted waxy and funky :( Peter Paul has apparently reduced the awesome-ness of his candy bars.
