ok so i really like to make juices.... and i am a fan of peanutbutter (meat = bleh to me unless seafood) so i make peanut butter shakes so i was wandering if i could manage to get all the calories and nutrition would it be a bad idea to make blended meals and only eat those for a while??? its not a juicer so everything will go in there with the blender and it will stay cold... is it a bad idea or a good idea becasue like i said i will hit all my calories and all my protiens and calcium

If you track your ingredients and stay at or below your calorie limits, I say blend away!

Is there a reason why you would just want to make blended meals instead of eating them? Most people feel more satisfied after actually "eating." Of course you can do it if it's more convenient or something.

Why would you want to do this? Are you looking at it for a meal replacement? Are you just talking ONLY having liquid meals all day long? Do you feel this has a benefit over.....chewing your food? I'm confused!
  • You need to make sure you're getting all the nutrients your body needs (Vitamins, Protein, Carbs, Fat, ect) if you are getting all those, it doesn't really matter how you ingest the calories. Although, I do not think it's the best idea, because it's not obtainable for a long period of time. You can always eat beans and nuts for protein if you don't like meat! Good Luck!

I don't eat meat either so I can identify with you. I have blended drinks for two of my meals ( I usually have 5 meals a day).
I normally have eggs with fruits and vegetables for breakfast, a blended drink with hemp and rice protein with fruit and nut butter for snack 1, fish with vegetables and rice or beans for lunch, another blended drink for snack 2 or a protein bar or home made nut and fruit mix (dried fruits with nuts and seeds) and fish with vegetables for dinner or a chopped up banana with nut butter and hemp seeds if I am craving something sweet. If my calories already add up for the day I will skip dinner. I am also about 75% raw most days so I have a lot of raw vegetables and add lots of greens to most of my blended drinks. Hope this helps.
