Measurements before/after cooked

I use alot of frozen veggies and always weigh my food, but I've noticed a difference in the oz/g's in food before and after its cooked.

The packages don't specify, so is the weight of each serving before or after prepared?

Examples of what I'm using...

bacon
frozen veggies
chicken breast
morningstar meal starter crumbles

Well, bacon I would go by the slice. Chicken and veggies I go by the cooked weight. But, it's a good question what the intention is...and that I don't know the answer to.

Yeah, ive seen some specify but I'm more confused on the frozen things that are purchased frozen. Its frustrating!

Look in the database for an entry for "raw" or "steamed" (in the case of veggies, if it's something like chicken, I'd search for "grilled").
Choose whichever one is easiest for you.

Most entries in the MFP database are entered by users worldwide, so if they haven't specified the details you have no way of knowing which they are referring to.
