Almost at goal weight but still fair bit of belly fat

Hi.

"Long time reader, first time poster!"

I have been using MFP properly for about 2 1/2 months and have lost about 26 pounds so far. I am about 5-6 pounds from my goal weight but still have quite a bit of belly fat (A lot less that before though :) ).

My question is this:

How can I loose this but not drop much more in my weight and size? I am happy with my weight and my frame size but want to loose the belly fat.

For info: I'm 6ft tall, male. Currently doing 2-3 hours a week at gym, 60/40 mix of cardio and resistance. I am currently moving more time into resistance as I'm closing in on my body weight.

They say that a flat stomach is made in the kitchen, I've heard trainers say it over and over, not sure how to get one myself, but maybe you can read up on the meaning behind the saying? Idk. If you find out, let me know! No matter how much ab work I do, I still have that layer of chub! Lol
  • So true. A truth in this saying. Many plat stomach programms don't plan ANY workouts for a stomach. How big can stomach muscles become? it is about fat. Read here http://gossippa.com/truth-about-abs-review/

Certain foods promote belly fat. Just do a bit of Googling and you'll find out what does and what doesn't. Congrats on being almost at goal!
