sugar detox?

I am on day 77 with no processed sugars. At this point, I don't think I'll ever go back. I only allow myself small amounts of unprocessed sugar like pure maple syrup.
It has really killed my cravings. I have a 2 year old and I'm never tempted to eat any of his treats.
This is definitely true. Just quit eating sugars, fruit is fine. But any added sugars.. there's really no need for them. Our bodies are designed to digest them, but we consume way too much of it so we deal with weight problems now.0 -
High GI carbs, low GI carbs. complex carbs, simple carbs, processed sugar, unprocessed sugar. Guess what your body thinks of all these? SUGAR!!
You need carbs. Just don't go crazy and you'll be good.0 -
Don't know if this helps, but since I've been on a lower carb diet, I've haven't been craving them anymore. I stay away from refined sugars like someone else mentioned, just use stevia as a sweetener in tea, and eat whole grains when I do eat carbs. Haven't had chocolate or cake or anything in like 2 months except frozen yogurt once! It's crazy, but I use to have something everyday and I just don't miss it. I think sugar is addicting! You have to wean yourself off! Maybe you dont need a detox at all?0
