Annoying scale issue

So my scale used to never say a different number no matter where I moved it in my old bathroom. Now I have moved into my new apartment and the bathroom and kitchen have small tiles that make it hard to find a flat surface plus everything else is carpet. Now everytime I step on the scale I get a new weight like 5 pounds different. Does anyone have any idea how I could fix this issue?

go the hardware store or home depot and get either a 1/2 inch thick piece of plywood or acrylic big enough that it gives your scale a 3 or 4 inch border all the way around0

Look for a scrap of tile 12x12. It will balance the scale. A friend or family member might have one lying around! Good luck! It's horrible when your scale is unreliable!!!0
