I have been eating a banana mid morning and an apple mid afternoon for several months now when I need a snack. I need some other options and would like to hear what some others are doing for a healthy snack that will curb your appetite.

Thanks!

    HUMMUS WITH CARROTS AND APPLES
  • kosher pickles( i am diabetic and its one of my free foods) also 1 mozz stick is 1 ounce great snack, also use the carb ready gluercena shakes and snack bars. i also have a recipe for sugar free jello and fat free cool whip and thats an awesome snack. u can use any flavored sugar free jello and fat free cool whip and it makes alot so u can eat it all week

    Ingredients
1 box sugar free peach jello geletin
    1 cup boiling water
1/2 cup cold water and enough ice to bring it to 1 cup water

    1.5 cups shopped peaches
1 bowl sugar free cool whip
    1 graham cracker pie crust

    Directions
    boil 1 cup water--dissolve geletin
add cold water and ice and chill in fridge until starting to set but not solid about 15 min.

divide jello inhalf. take one half mix with 8 oz of fat free cool whip and put in a 8x8 let that set for about 15 min. take the other part of jello and pour on top. cover an let set about 2 hrs.

    good to go

Almonds, homemade trail mix, string cheese, hummus and veggies, hardboiled eggs, a scoop of peanut butter. Your snacks will stick with you longer if you include some protein with the fruit.

    Snacks? What are they?

Eat proper fulfilling food, listen to your body and treat fruit (and the fructose) like dessert is my world.

If I wanted some munchies I would pick a handful of raw nuts, a small tin of spicy tuna or a hunk of cheese.

And another vote for hard-boiled eggs here, I love eggs ... <drifts off into eggytastic oblivion>

@DeadVim-Thanks! I think I will cut the fruit out unless I want something sweet but I do not generally crave sweets. I am right with you on the hardboiled eggs!
