Food as a comfort blanket

Today I witnessed an attack on my way to work, I was very shaken up and I ended up having a slice of cake to calm myself down. I only ate half the cake as I realised I was using the cake as a crutch to help cope with what I saw. This realisation has possibly been one of the biggest steps forward in my weight loss plan.
Does anyone else find food their crutch?

I think "most" of us do that.
When i'm feeling like I want to eat for those reasons, I say this
"the ONLY feeling that food helps, is HUNGER"0 -
