Hello all :)

Okay so i understand that you have the calories you eat, and then the calories you earn back from working out, but do you have to eat back all of the calories you burn off? For example lets say my goal is 1200 calories a day, but then i workout and burn 400 calories. Would I have to eat those 400 back to make 1200? I have heard that your body can go into starvation mode (you dont lose weight) if you dont, but I have also heard that it is not necessary. I am just asking because I have been workout and eating healthy, and have lost 14 pounds in almost 2 months but lately it has been harder to lose 2 pounds a week. I am not largely overweight or anything (my goal is to lose 25-30 pounds total). Is there any advice youo guys can give me? I am lightly active for most of the day, but then hit the gym 6 days a week. I run 1 to 2 miles (3 on a good day) when I am not doing kickboxing (3 days a week). I also incorporate weight training on the light running days (I warm up with a mile jog or so).

If you guys could help, that would be great! Also feel free to add me! I love motivating others, and in return, I love to be motivated!

There are always differing opinions on this. I eat back some, but not all of my exercise calories and haven't had any issue with steady weight loss. Try eating all, some, or none, and see what works for you.

    Agree with this.

I eat back most or I would feel like I was starving. Some people don't some people do. You will get a lot of opinions on this. Try eating them back and see if you continue to lose. If not switch it to eating half back. I personally can't go under 1200 calories a day or I fee brain fog and starvation. BUT THAT IS ME. I also found that when I started eating them back I developed more muscle. I always leave a couple hundred a day for a couple of reasons. 1. To be safe that I am not over calculating my calories burned. 2. If I go over on another day I some in the bank because my goal is weekly not daily.

It depends on the day. There are days I eat some, all and none. Depends how I feel! I always strive for leaving at least 100-300 calories. But that's just me
