Putting on Weight...

So for the past few weeks I've been trying to stay dedicated to the gym and to eating well, and while I've slipped up a few times and had a couple days of eating terrible and not going to the gym, as a whole I've been staying under my calories on MFP and lifting weights/doing cardio everyday. And I've put on weight. I understand that when people start out working out, they put on muscle quickly, and the whole idea of "muscle weighs more than fat" idea, but I don't know if I've noticed any changes, and its discouraging that the only thing I can observe (i.e., the scale) is going up.
I was hoping to slim down and be lean and toned rather than bigger, but I don't know if im doing it right. Meep. Help?

Are you weighing and measuring your food and using correct portion sizes? How many calories are you allowing yourself each day? Drinking water????
It is so discouraging when you think you're doing everything correctly, but the scale doesn't move. Don't give up. :flowerforyou:0
