Machine Calorie Burn Vs. MFP Calorie Burn

Okay, so when I put my time in MFP it tells me how many calories I burned, which doesn't match with what the machines at the gym are telling me.
Well, the machines at the gym know the rate in which I go plus my weight, but MFP knows my weight and height but not the rate in which I go.
There's a pretty big discrepancy, soooo, any advice?

Sadly, neither is probably all that accurate. After a lot of thought about this issue, I purchased a BodyMedia Fit Armband and now I KNOW what I burn each day. Another option would be a heart rate monitor. Either will be a lot closer than the machine or MFP. I found out that my previous estimates were sometimes double what I was actually burning!0
