What happens after P90X

I've been seeing a lot of before/after shots of MFP members who have posted in the Success Stories message board. I'm just wondering what happens after you complete a program like P90X/Insanity/30 DS, etc. I'm in the middle of Jillian Michael's Ripped in 30 and I'm nervous to get to the end. I'm not sure if all the hard work is going to be lost when its over. I will still continue to workout but I'm afraid that not doing those routines at that intensity will cause me to plateau or go backwords in my weightloss/toning mission. Any thoughts on people who have finished a program? Did you keep your results or lose them? If you kept them how did you do it? Thanks!

Me, I started all over again. Once I'm done with this round though I'll begin P90X2.0

It really depends on what your goals are after completing your program. After finishing P90X, I decided to start Insanity because my goal is to burn a lot of fat (I want to finally have abs). Best of luck to you!0

the P90x guide says to workout at least 3 days a week, and has suggestions on which workouts to use.
you do need to stay on top of eating clean.
I took a month off after I finished, started another round 3 weeks ago.
Many people add in Insanity on top of P90x or go on to P90x 20 -
I finished turbo fire, and now have insanity being delivered tomorrow!0

I'm currently on my second round of P90X. I am going to continue until I reach my goal. At that point, I'll probably still do some of the workouts, but probably not 6 days a week. Just enough to maintain.0

I kept the results for a while because while I did not stick to the schedule I kept the habits or working out. It's been two years and recently I started all over again because I stopped working out. All of a sudden I couldn't find the time anymore. At least that's what my excuse was. I am committed again. I suggest stay committed. None of these programs are a permanent solution if you don't get in the habit of committing yourself to your body. Hope that helps.0

Wow, great question! For me, life after P90X has gone like this ~
I started and completed round 2 (did lean the first time and then regular the next)
I began round 3, began running, started working with a trainer 1 day a week (all I could afford), discovered kettle bells, learned all kinds of crazy other things I was capable of doing - including kickboxing, ran my first 5k, then a 10k, and then a half marathon.
I have since completed 3 other 5ks, another 10k, and 5 other half marathons (including a 39.3 series - 3 half marathons in 4 weeks). I have also started swimming and biking and completed my first sprint triathlon the day after I turned 40. I'm doing another sprint triathlon in two weeks, running a 5k in three weeks, and my next half marathon in the fall. What happens after P90X? That's totally up to you! But for me...the sky is the limit. Those first 90 days were the beginning of a whole new life.0 -
Oh, and by the way...I still use P90X on my weight lifting days.0
