I am scheduled for a yoga class tonight and have never been to one, or even done at home! Am I expected to bring my own mat or are they usually furnished at a studio?

Every class I've been to always has spares for those who don't have their own yet. If it's your first class, I wouldn't rush out to buy a mat, because you may not like it.

Can you call the studio to confirm or borrow from a friend just in case?

The studio isn't answering their phone. And the friends I'm going with are in the same boat as me. We are quite a troop

    If it's a yoga studio, I'd say there's a 98% chance they have extra mats. :-)

Just in case, take a beach towel with you...I've definitely seen people use those in place of mats.

Thanks. They did have mats and we even had class outside. It was a fun class...I definitely could benefit from more yoga!

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I love yoga! I've just started hot yoga...if you have a studio near you, give that a try! It's a great sweat and I feel so great after.
