What difference have people experienced with hunger and weight loss through drinking the recommended 8 glasses?

It's what I am going to start doing tomorrow as I have a dispenser in my office.

Have a look at my first blog entry to see how grateful I am!

Water seems to help fill me up. I try to always drink 8 ounces before I eat a meal and I am not so hungry and I don't eat as much.

most people arent' hungry, they are thristy (their stomachs only has one signal)..So 8 glasses is like the needed amount for very low level of healthy drinking...it's recommend that you take your weight / 2.2 and drink that much oz of water every day

so if you weight 160 / 2.2 = 72 oz of whater which is 9 x 8 oz glasses of water

I have to drink over 100 oz of water a day (and most days I get it)

increasing your water intake will decrease your appetiate.

    Cheers!

most athletes carry Jugs of water every where they go...and will drink about 2 gallons of water a day easily

so unless you are drink salt water..or more than say 5 times the recommend amount..
you'll be fine other than peeing like a race horse..

    Hope that helps

Well I remember a few years back (In the twin cities area) KDWB had a contest of who could drink the most water. I think one girl drank like 5 gallons and died as a result of drinking too much water. Dont get me wrong I dont drink no where near that amount. I drink maybe 15 to 20 cups of water a day. But I guess thats just something that terrified me when someone mentioned that I was drinking to much water. They said I was retaining water from sodium in water. Or something. THey are no doctor and neither am I, just kindof spooked me a little
