LA Muscle Supplements

Hi, I've been using a fat stripper for a while now and combined with exercise and some diet changes, it seems to have helped shed a few lbs.

I now want to begin to build muscle and get more toned, whilst also looking a few remaining lbs. As such, I bought from LA Muscle (www.lamuscle.com) the following:

Six Pack Pill - http://www.lamuscle.com/products/sixpackpill (1 to 2 capsules, 3 times a day before meals
Norateen Heavyweight II - http://www.lamuscle.com/products/heavyweight2 (two tablets, 3 times a day with protein)
Man - http://www.lamuscle.com/products/man (2 capsules, 3 times a day)
Horny Goat Weed and Catuaba - http://www.lamuscle.com/products/hornygoatweed (2 capsules, 3 times a day)

I know some of you may not know these supplements as such but is there any problem taking all of these four supplements each day, and also should I still continue to take the fat stripper?

Many thanks.

    Six pack pill?

Dude come on you're better than that, don't fall for this marketing crap. LA supps are insanely overpriced and this stuff will do almost nothing for you unless your diet and training are beyond perfect.

The supplement industry is based on lies and unfortunately it's easy to be sucked in with the promises,I did it myself when i started out. The fact is, these supplements have no backing in science and if anything have been shows to be useless at every possible stage.

The only compounds which will let you gain significant mass while still dropping fat cannot be bought over the counter and require injections every other day......if you see what im getting at.

If you want to gain muscle, all you really need is a basic protein supplement (you don't even NEED that but it does make life easier), a good diet and hard work.

I take it you are based in the uk? in future get your supps at

    www.myprotein.co.uk
    www.bulkpowders.co.uk
    www.bodybuildingwarehouse.co.uk

If the stuff you just bought actually workout, everyone from the common man to fitness professionals to pro bodybuilders would be all over it........the fact is that they aren't, because it doesn't.

Thanks so much for your comments. Based upon your single reply, I feel a bit of an idiot. That said I'd love to know whether others agree too. I am based in the UK.

For my information, what type of supplements do you take? I assume protein bars and/or whey protein bars are good to supplement natural protein intake?

Without laughing & being offensive "six pack pill" :)

I take L-Glutamine for recovery & Creatine for that extra push, sometimes I take a Pre workoit like Craze, other than that just a good multi vitamin. The 2nd poster said it, stay away from the supplement industry they prey on insecurity & fears.

Just up your intensity & make sure to get enough food & rest, <---- Thats the secret!

Basic impact when protein - to make my life a little easier with total protein intake
Instant oats - have these on days when I need more carbs
Omega 3 fish oils for general health

That's it, all from my protein.co.uk, if you want protein bars, again it's cheaper to make your own

Creatine is good and very cheap but I wouldn't even bother with that until you have spend a few months in the gym an learnt how to really lift with intensity.

Hit your macros, lift hard, sleep and repeat -simple really

Dont waste your money on overpriced "super supplements". Up your calorie intake, concenrate on the basic compound exercises, ie deadlifts, squats etc. There is no easy shortcut in a bottle.

Thanks again guys for your comments. I'm trying to up my protein via bars currently - not a massive fan of shakes and I like the chocolate fix!

I'd be interested in your comments on my food and exercise diary too. For food, I try to eat lots of chicken and turkey. For exercise, I don't do masses of weights but rather gym classes/cardio - mainly to improve fitness but hopefully build some lean muscle too. Comments and thoughts would be appreciated.

I have had a brief look at your log etc, few thoughts.

    - For what you are trying to achieve, you need to start lifting, pick a basic routine such as stronglifts 5 x 5, or another full body workout
    - I am unsure as to why your calorie goal is so different every day? I eat essentially the same on my rest days as on my workout days, your muscles do not grow when you are the gym, they grow when you are at home resting, easting and sleeping, you need to feed them!
    - I assume you are either a fussy eater or not a good cook, learn to make your own basic meals instead of buying stuff from the supermarket. This will be not only cheaper but better for you nutritionally. Chicken thighs with some marinade or seasoning, make them in big batches and take them to work with some rice etc, nothing fancy just simple good foods
-Don't use the macros this site gives you, use a calculator such as

    http://www.1percentedge.com/ifcalc/

Set them right and hit them EVERY SINGLE DAY!

Huff! Not at all; if anything, I'm probably just uneducated. I can cook but I guess I don't know what to cook.
