Giving this a try. Frustrated and hungry

I downloaded this Ap for my phone almost a week ago and I love it, but I'm sooo hungry and already bored with my recipes. I never really "seriously" counted my intake before and it kind of blows my mind how many calories I have been taking in and helps me really understand why I have gained so much weight lately.
I had the Lap Band surgery in 2009 and had minimal success with it. Well this past January my band broke and I opted to not have it replaced. I'm not terribly upset that I didn't have it put back in, but I am very upset with myself for gaining almost all the weight I lost back. I HATE how i look, I HATE how I feel and i HATE having to work so hard at this!

My husband doesn't think I am eating enough now, but I know that if I just exercise more it will allow me more intake, it's just a matter of finding the time. So at least I'm being good about watching my intake so I don't go over.

Someone please tell me this gets easier!

I am curious what daily caloric intake people are working with. Right now I'm at 1360 for a daily limit. Some days this is fine, but days like today I need about 2/300 more. I'm starving, haven't eaten dinner and only have 206 left. I had 1 and 1/2 cookie and that killed my whole day.

OK Rant over :) I'm very glad to have found this place and I have already found some delicious recipes I plan on trying.

Welcome! And yes, it does get easier. Give yourself a few weeks to adjust. I was trying to keep to the 1220 and finally upped it to over 1300 because it was too low. It is getting better and I find knowing I have an additional 100 - 200 calories helps me not feel so stressed.

I am 5'2 and want to loose at least 25 pounds so I feel my numbers are pretty moderate.

My husband is always eating so he gives me grief about the fact that I "choose my food wisely." After a few weeks I notice him reading labels and making different choices. With any luck maybe he will slowly start to accept your new lifestyle behavior.

The app is my best friend! Just stick with it and peek around, people are constantly posting great recipe ideas.

    Best of luck!! :)
