Eating excersise calories? Good or bad?

I am new so I am just curious here, if I eat back the calories I had burned... will I still lose weight? Or is that going to make me stay at the same weight? It's only day two for me. I weigh 150 lbs. and my calorie intake a day is 1200 unless I excersise (which I do so I can eat more).

Eat back your exercise calories. Don't exceed it, but eat most or all of it back (using healthy foods!)

Yes, you will. MFP has a built in deficit based on how many pounds you chose to lose a week. The program tries to keep you at that same deficit, so it will tell you to eat back your exercise calories.

I think it's ok to eat back the exercise calories (like the other member said with healthy choices) but I have decided not to log my exercise because I am eating plenty now

Assuming that your exercise calorie estimates are correct and your food tracking is correct -- you'll still lose weight. I eat mine and I am losing.

Some people report the exercise calorie burns are too high. I think this is true for some activities -- for example, martial arts, I think the burn estimate assumes you're going flat-out for the full time. So I only write down 30-60 minutes (depending on intensity) for a 2 hour class.

Yea I do the same with some excersises. I know how vigorous it was or wasn't. Anyhow thank you everyone for sharing I just wanted some insight on it because I was curious. It is so hard to eat such low calorie foods, I am having trouble finding good ones and feel hungry unless I excersise so I can eat another meal. I get up early and stay up late (Insomnia) plus I have Hypoglycemia, so I need sugars and I can't find many low calorie foods with sugar in it. It's hard to lose weight! Lol
