I need advice...

I love to exercise. I mean I really LOVE it. I try to do a little something all day every day, even if it is just walking a few more steps or doing jumping jacks while I have a few extra seconds to spare. My biggest issue, however, is that I have really really bad knees. I want to start running, but every time I do, my knees swell and are really painful for several days afterwards. My knees crack and pop all the time. I wear a knee brace most times but it doesn't really help. How do I do cardio without killing my knees?

If your knees are that bad, it might help to do low-impact activities, like swimming, because you really don't want to injure them past the point of no return. Have you had them checked out by a doctor?0

I don't have any insurance or a doctor. So, no. I really want to go, though, but I'm kind of afraid they're going to tell me there is something dramatically wrong with my knees. My mother and my grandmother have both had both knees replaced.0
