what do net calories mean?

    Total calories consumed for the day minus the number of calories burned in exercise for the day equals your net calories.

    At the top of your home page next to your profile picture it is all calculated out for you. At the right end of the grey bar it shows your net calories.

    MFP makes all this very easy, and if you get in these forums, people toss around all these appreciated or unfamiliar terms.
